In everyday life, members of society try to close out those in poverty, ignore them, and do everything and anything to stay out of their way. However in cities like Mumbai, India over half or the cities population is those who are classified as impoverished. It is estimated that in the city of Mumbai, 55% of its residents live in slums. The slums themselves only take up  6% of the city. Statistically speaking, this creates major issues concerning health, safety, and most of all space. India has recently been tackling the issue of its slums by creating smart cities. Programs like these are now being depended on in order to create a safe and viable alternative to overpopulated that overtake some of the biggest cities in the world.

By next year the United Nations Development Program has put in legislation to create new smart cities to tackle the problem over international overpopulation. These smart cities will include better infrastructure, improved hygiene, and clean water. These smart cities are meant to improve the over all living facilities of those living in overpopulated cities as well as decrease the overall population within these areas. As overpopulation rates continue to rise there is an increasing need for a more modern state. This is due to that fact that those who live in shanty towns bear the consequences as they are forced to live in unbearable conditions.

The international community has been working on creating the perfect plan to build and develop a new community. There has been recent finding of new land in an undisclosed location that is currently unoccupied. For the past ten years the OGAC has worked on building this land into an all new inclusive society. It will be custom tailored to its residents in order for them to fulfill the rest of their lives to the fullest. Its resident will come from all over the world and will have their own section in society. All member states have individually designed a part of this newfound land based on its countries culture and current demographics. Because of this we can insure everyone has a place where they fit in.

this has been a 2 trillion dollar project, however it was a necessary step in order to benefit our citizens, because they are our first priority. As the number of slum-dwellers rapidly increases the UN Habitat Program led by our government attempts so keep up with the inflow of residents into cities and shanty towns. Since 2008 over 80 million dollars have been donated to some of the worlds biggest cities for the purpose of decreasing overpopulation and six projects have been put in place that have helped tremendously. Our goal of taking 100 million people out of slums by the end of this year has already been met and even surpassed by 100 million, doubling the government’s original goal. Although this marks humongous progress for those all around the world there are still 828 million people contributing to overpopulation. This number is also said to increase by over 150 million within the next decade. This is why it is incredibly necessary to create this new society and give those whole in overpopulated areas a way out.

Although this program has taken decreased overpopulation rates by millions it has not been enough to diminish the problem. In addition to these concerns country representatives also bring up new plans and ideas that have been successful in their individual countries. This international support has been one of the biggest factors that have made the UN-Habitat program a success. This new society is a guaranteed way to save society. More information is yet to come about this problem land. There will be a minimal application process and fees, in order to insure access to all. This is your chance to create a better life for not only yourself but your family. Join us in the final step to a world where overpopulation will no longer be a problem. Where you will no longer have to be living on top of other people wondering if your living conditions could get any worse.
