As the problem of overpopulation continues to rise, and society pushes more people to the streets, the Overarching Government Of All Countries (OGAC) has taken numerous actions to reduce this crowding, by creating a Promised Land. Located at an undisclosed location, This Promised Land provides citizens with a better life with excess resources, taking care of each citizen and their needs. While there have been many disputes over the efficiency of this wonder, this land that the OGAC is taking them to is very beneficial in many ways. After randomly selecting people to be sent to this “undisclosed” location, no one has seen any members return to their standard civilizations, but continue to supply humans with basic needs to prosper. While overpopulation is very severe in huge cities, ie. NYC, Beijing, New Delhi, London, the government has listened to worries and acted upon it.
Many might be asking questions on how the movement of humans to a separate, undisclosed location would help reduce overpopulation, but the government refused to share the method to the public. However, after a census completed every first day of each month, the OGAC has been pleased to report that the land has reduced overpopulation by 3% every month.
With the aid of the United Nations Development Program and the OGAC passing the bill about two months ago and bringing people to the Promised Land for improved living, these programs would effectively reduce the lasting issue which continues to sweep the globe. A representative from each country in the Overarching Government of All Countries convened to discuss the possible solutions to the global problem, which eventually led to the creation of the Promised Land. They also discussed the strict rule on the distinction between the numbers of men and women. The population count of women was much higher than the number of men, which was explained by the “need for men to fight in the wars.” Many women have been sent to the Promised Land, including Charlie. As one of the people staying at the land, we wanted to hear what she had to say about this “paradise.” When we arrived to interview Charlie about her experience under OGAC rule, we noticed bruises and scars across her body, but the OGAC explained that she had slipped down the stairs.
Three questions were asked about the life inside the Promised Land, the benefits, and the plans to solve the problem. The OGAC did not allow us to record video, only record Charlie’s voice.
In the interview, Charlie said, “I was so lucky to be chosen to be at the Promised Land. The OGAC treats everyone equally, and it feels like paradise. With food rations, separate living quarters, and much freedom, everyone can be happy and live. I would highly recommend accepting the offer to come to this magical place, and it helps smartly cleanse the overpopulation,” said Charlie. The OGAC runs the Promised Land with an elite team of individuals who manage, cook, organize events, and oversee the actions of each of the citizens. While there are rewards for good behavior, they also provide punishment for citizens who try to leave the Promised Land to return to families and their old lives. Even if the citizens do not believe that the land is beneficial, the OGAC keeps them there for the long run.
Charlie allowed us to share her story on the evolution of her life, before and after the introduction of the Promised Land, and the benefits it has given her. Coming from the overcrowded city of Los Angeles, she lived in a tiny sized house, struggling to work from 8 am - 6 pm, while also juggling her home responsibilities. When receiving the news that she was invited to live at the Promised Land, she was suspicious at first. How would move humans to another location help overpopulation? However, soon after arriving, she quickly noticed what they had been doing. She is one of the many examples of how the OGAC has helped individuals.
Even though it has been recent since the introduction of the new bill, benefits are being discovered. Many have been praising this smart government’s action. Further information will soon be revealed about the long term benefits of the Promised Land.
